  • FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

    A. Height: 6.25”/ 16 cm

    B. Widest circumference: 7” / 18 cm

    This is the size of the sample. Gauge will affect the finished gnome size.

  • Magpie Fibers Quartet Worsted (100% superfine Superwash Merino, 210 yds / 192 m – 100 g)
    MC: 1 skein of Masquerade (teal)
    CC1: 1 skein of Hot Tamale (red)
    CC2: 1 skein of Fior di Latte (white)

    Or the following amounts of worsted weight:
    MC: 30 yds / 28 m
    CC1: 17 yds / 16 m
    CC2: 11 yds / 10 m

    Note: Changing the weight of yarn or holding yarn double will change the finished size of your gnome. Heavier weight yarn and larger needles will produce a larger gnome, while finer yarn with smaller needles will produce a smaller gnome because of gauge. See gauge notes.

  • US 6 / 4 mm needles for working small circumference knitting either DPNs or 32”/ 80cm circular needles for magic loop method

    • 3 – 4 mm crochet hook

    • Stitch markers

    • Tapestry needle

    • Waste / scrap yarn (bright colour preferable)
