KNITTING PATTERNS Päikene cardigan knitting pattern (English)

Päikene cardigan knitting pattern (English)

£6.00

Like rays of sunshine, the Roosimine pattern on this cardigan spreads out in rays across the hem and cuffs. This twist on a classic Roosimine motif found on the cuffs of gloves from Tõstamaa, uses many colours.

This cardigan is knit seamlessly. The body is knit from the hem up beginning in the round with a steek for the Roosimine section at the bottom of the cardigan. The remainder of the body is knit flat once the Roosimine on the body is finished.

The contrast colours used for the Roosimine are held double, a thicker weight such as a aran weight could be substituted to use a single strand.
