Introduction to Estonian Knitting at Yarn Trader, Port Adelaide, Australia

  • Yarn Trader 265 Saint Vincent Street Port Adelaide, SA, 5015 Australia (map)

Get a taste of Estonian knitting making a wristlet showcasing four traditional techniques. This workshop is an introduction to Estonian knitting exploring knit fringe, knit braids, bobbles, and roosimine inlay knitting. We will travel across Estonia learning these different techniques that are much easier than they look. A great way to get to grips with many of the techniques covered in Aleks Byrd’s book Traditions Revisited – Modern Estonian Knits and Kindred Knits – Patterns from my Estonian Family Archive.

This is an in-person workshop at Yarn Trader in Port Adelaide, SA, Australia.

This workshop is two 3-hour sessions with a 1-hour lunch break.

Special class kits available to purchase from Yarn Trader. Tea and coffee available throughout the session. Book all three Aleks Byrd workshops at Yarn Trader and save 10% by selecting the Full Weekend option on Yarn Trader’s Classes and Events Page.
