Introduction to Estonian Knitting at The Yarn Bowl, Banyo, Australia

  • The Yarn Bowl 254 Saint Vincents Road Banyo, QLD, 4014 Australia (map)

Get a taste of Estonian knitting making a wristlet showcasing four traditional techniques. This workshop is an introduction to Estonian knitting exploring knit fringe, knit braids, bobbles, and roosimine inlay knitting. We will travel across Estonia learning these different techniques that are much easier than they look. A great way to get to grips with many of the techniques covered in Aleks Byrd’s book Traditions Revisited – Modern Estonian Knits and Kindred Knits – Patterns from my Estonian Family Archive.

This is an in-person workshop at The Yarn Bowl in Banyo, QLD, Australia.

This workshop is two 3-hour sessions with a 1-hour lunch break.
