Rib Steek Sandwich Tutorial by Aleks Byrd

In this tutorial Aleks Byrd will show you how to work the rib steek sandwich. This is an excellent finishing technique for a steeked cardigan to create a clean finish and sturdy bands for buttonholes and buttons. The rib steek sandwich hides and traps your steek edge between two bits of ribbing that also provides extra reinforcement of the steek. This is a modified version of the steek sandwich shared by designer Kate Davies who shows how to do this technique with a Stockinette stitch steek sandwich. Aleks shows a modified version with a 1x1 rib effect.
